Safety First - Speed Bump PSA!

While we were out on our walkie today we encountered a speed bump.  Speed bumps are usually placed in parking lots to make sure everyone slows down.

Here I will demonstrate the proper usage of speed bumps in case you happen to come across one.

When you see a speed bump, slow down and approach cautiously.

When you reach the top of the speed bump, stop...

look first one way...

and then the other...

After an appropriate amount of time spent on the speed bump...

slowly descend to the other side.

Sometimes, if you go over the speed bump too fast, you'll need to sit awhile to recalibrate your engines.

Hey all... here I am sitting in front of the 2012 Hobbit Habitat Christmas Tree.  Mom bought us a big one this year and it's black with red lights!  That's not the weirdest thing about the tree though... can you see what is?

PUDDLES!  Right near the top next to the angel!  You'll notice how our angel is now a little off kilter... all due to Puddles, no doubt! 

We got lots of cards from all our friends and as they came in, we stuck them in the tree around all our crazy ornaments...

A Mom and Me Portrait

All I wanted to do was sit and snuggle on mom's lap... what more could a little lap dog such as myself ask?  Of course, mom had to make it into a photo op and said that I had to work for my snuggles!  One snuggle for every photo... I figured, how could this be bad???

It's my ninth birthday today and to mark this momentous day, I told mom that I wanted to go on a walkie to pee!

I peed on weeds...

I peed on trees...

I peed high...

  I peed low...

I peed through a fence...

I peed here...

I peed there...

I wanted to pee on the flamingo...

but mom said no!

but I went ahead and peed anyway...

cuz I had to GO!

The Search for Santa - Part Two!

When we last left you, we had been captured by a big scary reindeer calling himself Rudolph...

Luckily, we ganged up on him and took a bite out of one of his hooves so he let us go.  Of course, Pippen was so skeered that he needed to pee and he made me keep watch in case Rudolph came to snatch us again.

After letting Pippen take the lead on the first part of this adventure, I decided to take over the sniffing.  Even though Pippen is a Schnauzer (which means 'big-nosed dog'), we all know the Havanese have a more refined  smeller.  Today, we will find Santa!  I am sure of it!

The smeller says we should go north so off we go!

 I have to climb this hill to take a look around... I think we're getting close.  Yep... I think I see it. 

Can you see it?  It's in that stand of trees... look closely... we're gonna try and sneak up and take a closer look.....

OH NO!

It's the GRINCH!

Not only is he trying to steal Christmas but he's stealing little dogs too!

Still no Santa and now Christmas is in jeopardy!

The Search for Santa... Part One!

We heard that today is the first of December and that means one thing... Santa is getting ready to hand out presents!  We know we've been good this year but we wanted to confirm with the big guy that we are on the 'GOOD' List so we decided to take a walkie to find him.

First of all we had to go across the street...

Pippen says he's 'got the scent'...

Lead the way, Pippen... I have your back! 

Interesting... Pippen might be on to something... I think I smell something too!

Come on, mom!  Let's get our butts in gear... we have to tell Santa what we want for Christmas!

Oh No!!!  Some buddy's got Pippen! 

He's got a blinkin' NOSE!  What could this mean?

He tried to get me too but no way was that gonna happen!  Who is this guy and where is SANTA!!!!

Justice Denied!

We are here to tell you a shocking story of injustice... A travesty of travesties!

About a month ago, mom's work had a pet photo contest so she entered each of us...

After the contest closed, mom brought the poster home with our awesome entries... and she told us that ONE of us won!

Can you guess which one?

No!  It wasn't me and there in lies the travesty of all travesties!  Can you believe it was Chico Kitteh?

Chico Kitteh WON!  If that wasn't shocking enough, guess what he category he won...

MOST DIGNIFIED!

Hello?  Dignified?  Chico Kitteh?  He's a cranky old man!  How is that dignified?

Here's his prize... it's like a bird like object.  At first, mom wouldn't let us play with it because she said that Chico Kitteh won it so it was his...

But he wasn't all that interested in it, so Pippen decided to give it the old sniff test.

And I like sitting with it, just so Chico Kitteh can't have it in case he does want to play with it.

Really?

Does that look like something a 'dignified' kitteh would do?

We are currently composing a letter of protest demanding a recount as well as an investigation into the backgrounds of the judges.
