To The Park and Beyond...

We had big plans yesterday... we were going to nap all day!

But someone had other plans.

Mom told us that we were going to Beacon Hill Park to meet a friend of hers and that we had to go!

We got there and took the lead immediately.

We didn't like the tall grass field so we headed over to the grassy area with the ponds...

Can you see what's in that pond?  Let's get a little bit closer...

DUCKS!

I know... it looks like I'm not too interested in them but I stumbled onto something even better than ducks...

DUCK POOP!  but more on that later...

We continued walking along,  looking at flowers...

And look over there!  Geese!  and you know what that means...  Goose Poop!  but more on that later...

This is a nice park...  here's a interesting looking tree...

SQUIRREL!!!!

We weren't quick enough to get that one but Pippen was on high alert after that first sighting!

We checked a couple more ponds and tried to make friends with those ducks...

We kept telling them how much we really like ducks... how tasty they are but they didn't seem very friendly.

We continued on because we know when we aren't welcome...

Check this pond out... there's a heron...  he`s there...  in the middle, over that clump of leaves...  he looks just like a fat branch... wonder how tasty they are???

He's pretty hard to see so we went over the bridge...

On our way back to the car, we saw the biggest dog EVER!  When mom finished taking its picture, she looked to see where we were...  we were hiding behind her!

Then we walked by the petting zoo... for some reason we couldn't go in but we did see peacocks and a turkey!

We didn't bother telling Mr. Turkey how much we liked him...

So now on to the other part of our adventure...  Duck poop... Goose poop...

Yeah... uh huh...  you know what happened...

While mom and her friend were talking, I took the opportunity to do a little rolling...

I don't think I need to tell any of you how good smelling I was... whoo hoo!

But almost as soon as we got home, I found myself here...

All wet and soapy...

and you know what important lesson I learned?

Goose poop doesn't come out easy...  I had to endure the indignity of three neck washes!

and even then...  my white furs are still a bit green!

Next time, I think I`ll stick to the duck poop...

  1. Very bad behavior. Everybody knows that duck and goose poop are for eating, not wearing. Sheesh.

  2. Woof! Woof! Why can't the humans understand that we love smelling like other animals? Pawsonally, I think I smell divine when I roll in poop and I can't understand why my humans don't feel the same way. Humans don't make sense sometimes!
