Pippen's Saturday Stroll

Usually, on our morning walks I take control and lead everyone to where I want to go.  Today, I was kind of tired so I let Pippen take the lead.

BIG mistake!  We were gone over an hour!  And at one point, I was sure we were lost...

It all started innocently enough...

Pippen wanted to go across the street into the residential area.  We've been that way before so I gave the okay.

but then we kept walking...

and walking...

We walked so far that we saw lizards on houses!  LIZARDS!

Finally we got to the end of the street and stopped at the sign.

I was beginning to get worried when mom said to turn right....  I didn't think that was the way to go and I kept wanting to turn back but mom said no.

Then we saw a seagull...  I was sure he was going to attack us but he didn't.

I wanted to stop at the store that had this sign but mom said we didn't have any moneys so we continued on.

I kept sniffing stuff, checking the pee mail, but I didn't know who anyone in this part of the world was...

I was becoming concerned.

Pippen didn't care.  He was on a mission.  After reading Tank's post a couple days ago, Pip wanted to make sure that everything we saw was his...  not Tank's...

This one's mine...

And then I saw it...  far off in the distance...  the sign of our mall!  I knew where we were and how to get home!

Let's go!

Before we got home, we had to scare the bejeebers out of some birds...

and mom had to take a picture of a pretty tree.

We made it back safe and sound once again!

That's the last time I let Pippen be in charge of our walking route!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!

  1. You're probably both taking long, well deserved naps right now. I didn't think you were ever going to find your way back home!

Your discovery of so much pee-mail just confirms my scientific deduction that our country is made up of about 99% dog pee. And regardless of how much more pee you left in the hopes of increasing your territory, I'm afraid some other dog will undoubtedly pee on top of your pee and so it goes...
BTW, I must commend you for hiking your legs. I was shocked and saddened to find out that some male dogs squat like a girl. Pitiful.
