An Important PSA - Zoonoses in the Bedroom!

While surfing the net today, we came across a very interesting article that references a report in the Emerging Infectious Diseases Journal (yes, we are that smart!)

Anyway, it states that we should not be sharing the bed with two-leggers because they could possibly get some sickies from us!

Being the responsible two-legger owners that we are, we printed the article for mom to read and have now, starting tonight, instituted a new rule...

Mom sleeps on the sofa from now on!

A Quiet Evening at the Habitat

When mom gets home from work we immediately go out for our walk.  Then we get back home and...

We have our cookies...

We make sure to chew each bite 30 times so it's more digestible... or something like that.

After our cookies, Sam and I have a little game of bitey face... which sometimes deteriorates...

because of an insane cracker dog...  a face only a mother could love!

Then mom gives me pats and tells me I'm a good boy while...

Sam finds a chewy and gets to work.

Chico Kitty sees that we are all having loads of fun without him, so he tries to get some licks in too.

Then while mom distracts Sam by wrastling, I manage...

to steal the chewy for my own enjoyment!  But while that's happening, look what's going on at the back...

AAAAHHHH!  The kitty is licking my butt!

Holy cat crap... how embearassing is that?

Okays...  I thinks I might need to lie down for a while...

Cracker Dog? That's Me!

Our good friend, Mango is once again holding the world famous MangoMinster and I felt that I needed to enter this year!  There are so many categories that I wasn't sure which one to pick but Pippen advised me that the Cracker Dog category would best suit me.

So here it is...  Why I'm a cracker dog.

Number 1:  I'm a fighter not a lover!  At least when it comes to Pippen

Number 2:  I'll roll in anything that's stinky!

Number 3:  Some of my best friends are Labradorks!

Number 4:  I can swim in the ocean!

Number 5:  I'm not afraid to stand at the edge of a cliff!

Number 6:  I ring the neighbour's doorbells and run away!

Number 7:  I can FLY!!!

Number 8:  I'm not afraid to have a disagreement with my girlfriend....

even if it means running for my life afterwards!

Number 9:  I'm certainly not afraid to make the moves on another (relentlessly huge) guy's girl!

So there you have it... Cracker Dog Extraordinaire!

Ants in My Pants!

Mom went out shopping early this morning and left us at home.  She was gone forever and when she returned we were ready for a walk!

I was at the top of my game today and just wanted to be mischievious so I rang the neighbour's doorbell and ran away...

and then I did it to the next one too!

I wanted to knock on everyone's door but mom put the kibosh on that so we continued our walk...

It's been raining cats and dogs here for a couple of days so now we have a few lakes around the complex!

This one is kind of deep so I ran quick like a bunny through it...

I was totally in the lead on today's walk... mom said something about ants in my pants but I have no idea what she's talking about...

We walked so much that we went by this lake again.

Poor Pippen... he's totally confused...

Not only do I like knocking on the front doors of my neighbours but I like to check out their backyards too!  Mom says I'm a nosy barker...

Then I walked along the concrete fence thingie for a bit...

and stopped to eat some grass on the side of a little hill.

Come on, Mom!  Let's go to the top!

Of course, she said no so I had to run down the hill!

I then decided to walk sedately along this patch of grass to see what was happening...

and soon decided that I had to climb the hill again!

Hey!  I can see our house from up here!

and then mom told me to get my butt down to her level again...

Look how fast I can run!

I ran so fast that I became AIRBORNE and Pippen had to grab me before I went off into outer space!

After that close call, mom said that we had to go home.

Who's Fatty McPudgyPants Now?

This morning mom said that we would be going for a car ride in the afternoon!

Yahoo!  What fun we will have!

Here I am on my seat...

Can you guess where we are???

So NOT funny, mom!  Yeah, a car ride for sure... to the VET!

We got weighed and get this... mom calls me Fatty McPudgyPants all the time...  and people on the street always tell mom I'm fat but guess what?

I weighed in at 26.8 pounds and Pippen, the lean, mean fighting machine weighed in at 28 pounds!

Who's the fatty now, mom???

Anyway, everything is A-Okay with us but mom just had to mention the little lump she felt on me a few months ago. She was totally not worried because it hadn't changed in any way whatsoever and that's what the vet said too... BUT they thought that they would take a needle and take a sample of it so this is what happened to me...

So the doc told mom that it totally looks like a fatty deposit and nothing to worry about but they will call with the results later on today!
