Mom's New Year Resolution

This year our mom is taking these resolution thingys seriously!  She told us yesterday that after walking Mitzi by herself she had an idea and that was to start walking us separately as well!

One of the reasons mom wants to do this is because I've never really been separated from Sam.  So... last week we started walking alone with mom each afternoon.  The first time, I was so worried about Sam being at home alone... what if something happened to him?  what if somebuddy broke into the house and stole him?  Who would protect him?  So I did a real quick pee and poop and then we ran back home.  I was so happy to see Sam!

Everyday it gets easier and easier to stay out longer but I still worry about Sam the whole time we are out.

Today we were gone for quite awhile.  I'm even getting excited about each adventure!

We are headed over to the gate to go outside of the complex.

Instead of our usual route, mom wanted us to do something different so I got to sniff these nice bushes.

Then when we got to the other gate, mom said we weren't going in there!  I started to get worried...  just where were we going?

Mom wanted us to go under the highway and over to the Galloping Goose Trail!

Those cars make lots of noise going over the bridge!

Okay, let's keep walking... the faster we walk the sooner we'll get back to Sam.

We have to go up this hill to get to the trail....

and a quick pee by the school yard.

There's the highway.... I wonder if we can cut across it to get back home faster???

See all those bicycles?  There's about 15 of them... they all went by us and scared the bejeebers out of both me AND mom!

We got across the highway and from then on it was double quick home!

When mom opened the door, Sam smacked me on the head like he usually does and then told mom he wanted to go out next!

One good thing about this new routine, all this exercise really tires mom out!

  1. How cute that you guys have never been separated. Your mom is certainly going to get her work out! Maybe my mom should adopt another dog cause she could sure use more exercise!

    Your pal, Pip

  2. I wouldn't mind doing this for my dogs but Shiver absolutely HATES to be left alone.

  3. We don't like that seperated thing at ALL
    Happee New Year!

  4. Exercise is good. Dat what me needs but dere are too many BIG wild dogs runnin' round our area. So we stays on our side of da fence to be safe.

Now, what does Sam tink when HE walks without you?

  5. It's good to exercise the peeps..... I hope Sam's smack wasn't too hard Pippen!!

    Tail Wuggles, Rubie

  6. Good luck with the new routine. That sounds like an awful lot of walking for somebody!

  7. We don't like to be separated usually means something awful like the VETS.

But some alone time with mum is good.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & roxy

  8. Thanks for taking me along on your walk today. It's really cold and windy here so this was much better!
