New Park Adventure

Yesterday mom told us we would be going on an adventure to a new park that even she had never been to before!  Now, I don't know about you but that kind of thing makes me nervous...  we'll be going deep into the forest and none of us knows where we are???  That sounds like disaster waiting to happen to me!

Not only that but when we got to the car, mom realized she didn't have the key so we had to go back home and get it!  Do I feel confident about this adventure?

Luckily, as you can see we did make it back because we are posting our fabulous pictures...

This park is called Francis/King Regional Park and is about 15 minutes from our house.  Since we have never been to this park before we decided to take the easiest trail available - The Elsie King Trail.

The trail was nice and wide and had a lot of little other trails you could check out and read about.  Being the brainier of the two of us, I was always ready to check them out and learn stuffs but Pippen just wanted to walk the trail!

I bet it looks really spooky here at night.

Pippen kept telling me that he could hear a bear in the bushes...

I'm pretty sure he was trying to scare me!

Uh oh!  What was that noise???

Maybe we should pick up the pace a bit...

Check this out - it looks kinda like a canoe standing on its end.

Lots of interesting trees to look at...

Just look at this tree!  Doesn't it look like we live in the shire?  It should... we are hobbits after all!

Hey mom!  What are you doing behind that tree?

It seems like this trail goes on forever...

and of course... another weird tree!

Finally!  The end of the trail!

The funny thing about this trail was that it's a big loop and if mom hadn't been watching closely we would have gone around again...

Seems like 'somedawggy' almost got lost and thought the car was the OTHER way!

Butt we aren't naming any names...
