Cause and Effect...

Just because it was Saturday yesterday, doesn't mean you can't learn something new!

I went outside and rolled in some bad stuff just CAUSE I wanted to...

and look at the EFFECT it had on me...

Sometimes, I wish moms could appreciate the special aromas that us boys need to smell good!  And I'm not talking shampoo here people...

Saturday Morning Wake Up Call!

Mom, are you awakes yet?

Sam?  You waked up?

SAM!  YOU WAKED UP?

Chico Kitty, are you awake?

***SIGH***

It's Saturdays...

It's 5 in the morning...

Why is everyone still sleeping?

My Birthday Celebrations

My Birthday started as soon as I got up... Sam was waiting downstairs with a birthday card that he got for me!

I know what you are all thinking and you should stop right now...  Mom got that card for her birthday from one of her friends!  Sam stole it, scratched out the friend's name and wrote his own... and now he's scratched out mom's name and put mine in there instead!  He says it's the thought that counts AND he's also doing his part to save the environment... whatever...

Then my most favorite mom gave me my present...

It's a sign that I can put in my garden so Sam won't do his business!  BOL!  My mom's pretty funny!

After we went for a walk and had some duck strips, Sam and I decided we had to do some serious wrestling...

As you can see, I'm no longer an ear biter... now I go for the neck!

Sam didn't think that was as funny as I did and he did his best rabid vampire dog impression... I'm still having nightmares about that!

After having more cookies, milk bones, duck strips and even a few temptation cat treats, I wasn't feeling very good so...

the rest of the day was spent napping in my nice, warm bed!

Thank you to all my friends out there that sent their birthday wishes to me!  It was very much appreciated!

Holiday Monday

Here in Canada, we had a holiday today.  That means that mom stayed home with us all day!

Because it was a holiday, we were lazing around doing nothing...

UNTIL...

Mom said, 'Let's go to the park!'

We didn't need to hear that twice so we were up and outside and headed to the car.

Sam called 'Shotgun' first so he got to ride in the passenger seat next to mom.

and before we knew it, we were at the park!

checking pee-mail...

investigating things that have happened since our last visit...

and just checking out the fabulous scenery...

Then we went around a corner and you'll never guess who was sitting on the bench!

Mister Duck!

We asked him what he was doing there and he said, 'just chilling and taking in the scenery...'

Then Sam wandered off and I wondered where he went...

Sam said that Mister Duck had a good idea and he decided to do some chilling too...

I thought that was a stupendous idea and joined in on the fun.

Then it was time to continue on our walk.

We took the cliff path so we could check out the ocean.

and then it was time to head to the car...

and back home...

My Name was Pesty...

Since last Tuesday, my auntie and cousin have been visiting.

I loved having them here and followed them everywhere.

They called me Pesty.  I'm not sure why...

I even slept with them at night.

I know they would have taken me home if they could have...

but mom and Pippen wouldn't know what to do without me so I stayed when they left to go home.

Now I'm sad that they are gone.

I asked mom who would call me Pesty now?

She said not to worry...

She said she thinks there will be lots of opportunities to call me Pesty!

I hope they come back soon...

Say Goodbye to the 4 year old Schnottie named Pippen...

Cuz tomorrow we wake up to a 5 year old Schnottie!

I can hardly believe that it's been five years since my brudder and bff was born...

Mom says he was such a cute baby she was worried someone would steal him!

**note how BIG his feet were** that had mom worried too!

He's always been a good fighter...

has always been happy to share any secrets with me...

is always prepared to face off with a strange dog to protect me (or any of his little friends)...

and, most importantly, he's there when I need someone to lean on.

So, goodbye my four year old brudder, I can hardly wait for my five year old brudder to arrive!

I just hope the new, improved version isn't an ear biter...

Saturday Morning Walks

Even though mom doesn't have to get up early on the weekends to get ready for work, we believe that the humans need a routine or they'll forget their training.  So, we woke up at 5 am and out for our walk!

Here we are waiting for her to get everything coordinated.

Today's journey will take us around the mall that's across the street, but first we have to get out of the complex...

Here's the busy road we have to cross...

Lucky for us, at that time of the morning, it's deserted!

We made it across, time to leave a little pee mail while Pippen makes sure mom made it across too.

Now it's into the mall.  Well, actually just the parking lot because they don't let our kind inside!

Over where those trees are there's a park with lots of paths to walk around but we don't go in there at 5 a.m.

Hey!  There's some guys on horses!

After walking for a while in the parking lot, we get to the nice grassy area.

And then it's around the corner and on our way home!

Pippen doesn't like walking on the sidewalk with the rest of us - he thinks it makes him look tough!

Now we are at the best part of the walk!  This here row of trees and lightposts is right outside of a large pet store.  So you know what that mean... reading all the pee mail!  This part of the walk sometimes takes us fifteen minutes to get through...

We're getting near the end of our morning walk so it's out of the mall and look both ways before we cross the busy road again.

See over there?  That's another big park across the other busy street... we'll go there another day.

Right now, it's down the road...

Back into the complex...

and home to bed for a nap!
