Torrential Rainy Sunday!

Well, it's raining outside...  hard enough that mom had to kick our sorry little behinds out the door!  Its been like that since last night and doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.

This morning mom made us put on our sweaters so that we could walk a little bit...

Sam got to wear his nice orange safety sweater.  I gotta admit, he looks smashing in it!

I wore one of southwestern design, nice reds and browns....

I wasn't convinced when mom put them on us but when we got home only our heads and bums were wet!

Now I'm going to veg on the sofa for the rest of the day, snug as a bug in a rug...

I wonder if there's anything good on Squirrel TV today?

Rainy Saturday Activities

It's raining out today... very grey and cool outside.  There's only one thing for us to do... Look out the patio door and watch the rain fall.

Mom, on the other hand, is painting...  She's been reading about Lorenza's mom too much and now thinks she can be handy too!  She found these two nightstands at the garbage in the complex.  She actually went into the dumpster to get one!  One of the tops was cracked but we filled it last night and now it's good to go.  They'll soon be a nice dark chocolate brown and then into the guest room.

Here's our front yard... with big puddles (no relation to THE Puddles) in the street.  Mom wanted us to get out there and get our business done before she opened the can of paint.  For some reason, she thinks today is all about her... must work on her training some more.

No one around... I guess we are the only crazy people to stand outside in the rain!

A Rainy Long Weekend

This weekend is our Thanksgiving so that means mom can stay home an extra day!

Early yesterday morning we looked out our window at this...

Rain!  And that means only one thing...  go back to bed!

Sometimes you need to get under the covers and hide when it rains... 

Mom finally figured out how to hook up the DVD so we stayed in bed and watched TV all day!

While mom crocheted, Pippen and I contemplated world politics and what we'd have for supper...

Mom made the bed that morning but as the day went on we made it more comfortable...

Sometimes a mid nap stretch was needed...

Even though it's a big bed, sometimes we get a bit close to each other...

In the afternoon, I did a little yoga so the muscles got a bit of a work out...

and dreamed about squirrels...

and bunnies...

and the cat had to put his stinky feet near my nose... PEE U...

He thought we were sleeping too much and wanted to wake us up...

but I just got up and moved to the other side of the bed...

Wake me up when the sun is out again...
