A Walkie Along the Ocean's Edge

Yesterday was a bright and sunshiney day, so mom said we should go for a drive down to the ocean to check it out.

We wanted to go to our new 'regular' spot but someone was flying a kite and mom knows how scary those are so we moved down a little farther.  We had to follow this sidewalk to get down to the main walkway...  first one way...

then the other.

Just getting to the walkway, they have these divider thingies and I insisted on jumping up on it so I could show everyone my awesome balancing beam skills!

There was lots of driftwood all over the place so we had to check it out... it smell like fishes!

Here's the walkway... and even though it was such a nice day out, there were hardly any peoples wandering around!

Notice how I'm wandering over to the wall?  Well, I wanted to walk on the grass!  Mom didn't think I could jump that high... after all, she says, I'm now nine years old so I shouldn't be able to do that anymore...

Really, mom?  I might be getting up there in years but the boy still gots it!

Pippen was shocked at this guy who was running by...  He's wearing shorts!  and it's January!  In CANADA!!!

After seeing that we had to get back to the car because we ALL thought that was kerazy!  So we continued on to see what else we could see...

We stopped the car so that we could climb these rocks and check out the view from here...  pretty nice if we say so ourselves!

And this here is what mom was hoping to see...

That's Mt. Baker and it's far away in Washington State.  We're pretty sure we wouldn't be able to climb to the top of that mountain!

Mom's on vacation until Monday and she tells us that tomorrow we'll be doing a forest walkie for a change.  We can hardly wait!

  3. I am very intrigued by the fish wood. Must taste great.
We see those crazies with bare legs running around in the winter too. Sometimes their legs are as red as a lobster. Nutty.

Your mom needs to have more faith in your jumping skills. I knew you could do it.
