Blessing of the Animals

Today, we got to go to church to the blessing of the animals!

This here is the church, St. Paul's Anglican.

Is it time to go in yet?  We want to be blessed!

Walking down the aisle... these seats are pretty close together...

Here's a pretty stained glass window at the front of the church.

and this is the special window that was made to comemorate the Canadian Navy's 100th Anniversary.

and the front of the church!

Pip, I hope they aren't going to do any signing because I don't think I can reach the hymn book!

Here's our girl, Mitzi... sticking her tongue out at us in church!

We tried to be on our best behaviour.  We didn't bark at the strange dogs at all!

After the service, we all rushed outside to go pee!

and then it was off to the hall to get refreshments and chit chat with the other blessed dogs.

Here's the spread they had for us!  They even had Cheetos!

Saying hi to one of our friends.

Another one of our friends, Sarah.

Then after meeting and greeting and getting our fill of Cheetos, we headed for home.

Mom took video of the service so if you'd like to check it out, you can find it here:

and yes... mom was shushing us in church!

  11. That was a great service for you AND food afterwards!

You were very well behaved. I don't think we would have been. Especially if there were cats.

  12. That's a beautiful church. I love those stained glass windows.

That's pretty cool you got blessed and all. I don't think my dogs would have been nearly as well behaved. They like to bark and Chico likes to "mark" things too. So yeah, they'd probably ask us to leave.

  15. Maybe if I got blessed, I'd get more kibble?

I hope you don't think I stole your idea. It was just a coincidence. Proves the old adage that "It could always be worse." At least I got 3 bites... you only got 1. BOL
