Macaulay Point Walkies

Saturday afternoon mom bundled me up and we went in the car to Macaulay Point.  Here I am with my 'CHEESE' face on!

Just over the water there is my city of Victoria!

I got to be off leash at this park, which is great fun until mom tells me to slow down...

Maybe you should speed up, mom!

What's the point in being off leash if I can't run willy nilly everywhere???

Oh, look!  It's a plane!

sigh... I am slowed down mom!  And no, I won't go chasing after those big dogs again.

Mom totally made it up to me though because we stopped at the magic cheeseburger window on the way home!

After Work Walkies

Mom and I live in a neighbourhood that has access to lots of different trails and if we wanted to, we could walk forever!

Last week, we headed out after mom got home from work and took the Colquitz River Trail.  A few weeks ago we got to see an Owl!  Mom was super excited about that.

This time we didn't see any Owls or other interesting birds.  Just lots of leaves on the ground for good photo ops!

and random wood posts that other dogs leave their pee-mail messages on...

How much farther should we go mom?

Here I am, trying to contain my excitement at yet another photo in front of something...

Mom never likes me sniffing in bushes and stuff, she thinks I'm going to find a dead body or something and then we'll be on the news... "Woman find body while walking her dog"

Moms are weird...

It's Looking A Lot Like...

Autumn!

The weather is cooler...

and weird fungi are growing everywhere...

We get windstorms so they close sidewalks with big trees...

But we went out after the storm and it was nice and sunny.

The grass was nice and cool and those leaves looked like they needed somedoggy to roll on them!

The Peacocks have lost all their purty feathers... 

and we were lucky enough to see an Eagle!

Up on The Mountain Top!

Mom took a couple days off last week and we went adventuring...

Here I am on the top of Gonzales Hill, overlooking the City of Victoria and the Strait of Juan de Fuca

I think I can see the United States!

Luckily we had a nice sun-shiny day so we could see forever!

I can't imagine living in one of these houses... on the side of the mountain...
